We Visit Longmen Grottos

Ma writes, "The Longmen Grottos are 1500 + years old and are a short distance from Luoyang, the location of YoYo's orphanage. The grottos contain statues of the Buddha carved in the walls.  The grottos  are along the Yi river, a tributary of the Yellow river, which the guide told us was China's sorrow, because of flooding.

Many of the Buddha's faces have been destroyed during various periods of unrest and also stolen by the Western countries to fill their museums.

The guide took a pictures of the family. YoYo took his first real nap and missed the whole adventure!"

At the end of the tour the guide took pictures of the family along the Yi River.
